What is the Enhanced Supported Employment Project?
The Enhanced Supported Employment Project (ESEMP) is designed to serve individuals with disabilities who are committed to becoming employed but require a higher level of support than traditional Supported Employment services afford. It provides assistance with job development, job retention, transportation, assistive technology, specialized job training and individually tailored supervision.
The ultimate goal of ESEMP is to combine individualized plans, intensive personalized support and innovative community employment development and opportunity.
ESEMP Coordinators will assist in finding a job that best suites the individual’s abilities. After a job is obtained, ESEMP staff will provide intensive job coaching. They will help train the employee in all aspects of the job, including but not limited to, showing the proper way to complete their responsibilities, trouble shooting any problems they might have, and on-going support to ensure the quality of work is up to the expectations of the employer.
