Support Groups

Support Groups are offered by the Resource Center for Accessible Living, Inc. RCAL Support Groups are a welcoming, accessible, and safe place to share positive and negative feelings.

We offer the following Support Groups:

  • Amputee (Limb Loss of the Hudson Valley)

    • This meeting is held on the SECOND Thursday of each month from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at RCAL. Members of the public are welcome.

  • Traumatic Brain Injury

    • This meeting is held on the SECOND Monday of each month from 2-4 p.m. at RCAL. Members of the public are welcome.

  • Hudson Valley Task Force of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

    • This meeting is held at 10 a.m. on the THIRD Thursday of each month at RCAL. Members of the public are welcome.

Our facilitators will assist you with:

  • Maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Identifying and using various resources for your well-being.

  • Learning ways of dealing with feelings and emotions.

  • Developing effective coping skills and adaptive behaviors.

  • Enhancing your self-esteem.

  • Helping yourself and helping others.
